San Antonio Silver Stars Sunday August 19, 2007, 5:00 PM Target Center, Minneapolis Rape is Indefensible Rally Hennepin County Government Center, 5th Street Mall facing Minneapolis City Hall September 18, 2007 Rally 9:00 AM 10:00 AM Press Conference 9:45 AM The local chapters of the National Organization of Women, Rape and Sexual Abuse Center, and the MN Coalition of Battered Women are rallying at the Hennepin County Government Center in response to remarks made by Defense Attorney Earl Gray in defense of charges against his client Dominic Jones to the Minneapolis Star and Tribune. "I believe it's a defensible case." Gray said of the complaint in a July court hearing, "I realize it's not pretty. But there is no alleged force, no weapon involved and no injuries." The "Rape is Indefensible" rally is intended to coincide with Jones first pretrial hearing on charges of performing sex acts on an 18 year-old woman who passed out after being fed several shots of alcohol by former University of Minnesota Gopher Football teammates.
